But then I realized that I had no material to cover the innermost areas near the Phoenix Grand Patong, so I thought of limiting this intervention to only the Bangla road and surrounding areas.
For those who do not know the area and are at their first Karon experience, I warmly recommend going there in the morning. You can do great business in the stalls, and there is a sparkling yet relaxed atmosphere. In the evening, however, the delirium begins.
If you are a man, it is not good to go around the streets after 10 PM because some prostitutes can become harassing. This is an area where I don’t recommend going if you just want to walk in the middle of the night. If you want to be there in the middle of the night, I recommend going back around 02 AM when people have calmed down, those women have found customers, and the street food vendors are now only interested in doing the latest deals without further stress.
Nearby in the area, other things you can’t miss to experience are restaurants. There are many places to eat that serve excellent food, with local specialties (exquisite seafood) and many places with enchanting atmospheres.
You can also opt to visit places that have their own “personality” such as the New York Bar or the Danze Fantasy Theater. I don’t want to spoil your surprise too much, so I will comment by saying only that there are plays of light, buildings with extravagant architecture and almost hypnotic park areas. If you sit on some bench and are in good company, with a drink in your hands, you seriously risk getting to see the sunrise together without realizing it (as long as the weather is mild and the wind does not blow too much).
